We run workshops and events for children and young people in the UK, facilitating engagement with their own territories as well as the geographies of far away and remote places. We have a mobile library of artifacts which have been contributed from our participants all over the world which children are invited to handle and touch. We investigate children’s relationship to landscape through the use of storytelling, ‘walk-shops’ and artistic processes such as Cyanotype printing, mono-printing, marbling, bookmaking, mapmaking, land art, sculpture, sewing, weaving and other craft processes as well as film making and photography

Arts Award.

We also run the Arts Council England’s Arts Award levels Discover and Explore.

To achieve Discover, children and young people discover the arts around them, find out about artists and their work and share their experiences with others, gaining a certificate at the end. Discover is aimed at children 5 years plus.

Explore is an Entry Level (Entry 3) qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). It is the perfect stepping stone from the introductory award, Arts Award Discover, to the Level 1 qualification, Bronze Arts Award. Arts Award Explore is designed for ages 7 plus.

If you are a school interested in extra curricular arts activities or either of the Arts Awards then please contact us. If you are a school museum or gallery already running your own Arts Award then we would be happy to work with you in designing one off taylor made workshops to supplement your programme.
